The 1000 Lives Network event on the 28th April 2014 focussed on funding.

At the event we announced the successful applicants for the 1000 Lives community matched fund round 1 :

  • OCIS cafe – scrabble chess equipment
  • SCIPE community organisation – hair and beauty training
  • YMCA – young people’s outdoor activities project

We offered a funding surgery for people to get advice on how to apply to the community matched fund.  The three organisations above were available to give their tips on applying.

We also asked people to share their ideas about the future of the 1000 Lives Network, what they can offer and how we share the message about 1000 Lives. You can find out what people said in this poster – click the link to download.

Many thanks to Derrick and the team at OCIS Cafe for hosting the event!
