1000 Lives supports social action in Stoke on Trent.
1,000 Lives is for community champions involved in community action. It brings people and organisation togethers to share information, opportunities, and access to training, and facilities, with the strength of a city wide movement. Anyone can join the Network, at no cost.
The 1,000 Lives Network has been set up as a response to the ideas provided by a development group of existing community champions.
It is widely accepted that health and wellbeing is affected by individual lifestyle factors, living and working conditions and wider economic, cultural and environmental factors. These factors are often referred to as the “Social Determinants of Health.” Read more about the Social Determinants of Health here.
The 1,000 Lives Network is funded by the Public Health Social Action Team for the Wider Social Determinants of Health, at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
The 1000 Lives programme is managed by All the Small Things CiC a new social enterprise based in Stoke-on-Trent. All the Small Things is directed by a team of directors who include the 1000 Lives facilitators, Community Organisers, Community artists and managers.
The 1000 Lives Network is facilitated by a team of four paid workers. Find out about the team on our Contact page here.
