The overarching aim for Stoke Healthy City is for all people to have the equal opportunity to live healthy, happy lives. Although much healthier than it was 50 years ago, the City of Stoke-on-Trent could be healthier.
The purpose of mini Stoke-on-Trent is to bring to life a number of important ‘facts’ about peoples health and well-being in Stoke-on-Trent.
CHEST Stoke (WEA)
Community Health Education in Stoke-on-Trent (CHEST) is a network and team running a range of courses across around the city.
They give children, young people and adults a powerful voice – making sure their views and experiences are heard by those who run, plan and regulate health and social care services.
Encouraging people in Stoke on Trent to try five ways to wellbeing that have been shown to make you feel good and live longer. The five ways to wellbeing are:

YMCA North Staffordshire
Offer accommodation for vulnerable, single people under the age of 25, with ongoing support to help them sustain tenancies and live as independently as possible. We also identify training needs to progress towards gaining employment.
Alcohol Dependency Services in Stoke on Trent
Changes Health & Wellbeing
Working throughout Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, providing support for those in mental distress via mutual support groups, recovery workshops, education, training and social initiatives.
North Staffordshire Mind
Provides support, advice and one to one counselling to people with mental health issues and their carers/families. We have befriending, social clubs and drop in services.
